Auburn: Community Center Gallery Laura Hoppenjans

The City of Auburn and the Auburn Arts Commission are pleased to present the work of Laura Hoppenjans at the Community Center Gallery, on view August 27 – November 5, 2026.

Laura Hoppenjans (she/they), is an artist and designer based in Seattle, WA. Interested in traditional techniques and labor, her work is influenced by the histories of gendered work and the intersection of traditional craft, design, and pop culture. Her vessels use traditional shapes to explore the political weight of domestic objects and the often-overlooked labor associated with them.  She started working in ceramics in 2019, and has exhibited in the US and abroad.
