All-Star Lineup of Drivers to Appear at NHRA Fanfest Presented by Explore Auburn on July 20

SEATTLE (July 12, 2023) – The start of the 34th annual Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways in Seattle will officially kick off with the NHRA FanFest presented by Explore Auburn on Thursday, July 20, with an impressive lineup of drivers that includes legendary 16-time Funny Car world champion John Force.

 

The FanFest takes place from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 in front of Dave & Buster’s at The Outlet Collection (1101 Outlet Collection Dr. SW, Auburn, WA 98001), with autographs and a meet and greet with NHRA standouts taking place from 6-7 p.m.

 

The list of drivers already scheduled to appear includes Force, three-time Funny Car world champion Robert Hight, Top Fuel points leader Justin Ashley, Top Fuel standouts Austin Prock and Josh Hart, Pro Stock Motorcycle riders Hector Arana Jr., Kelly Clontz and many more. Additional driver appearances will be announced in the coming days.

 

The NHRA FanFest presented by Explore Auburn will also include a Drag & Drive Hot Rod Show, car displays, live music and door prizes. Race fans can also purchase tickets to the weekend’s Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways, which includes racing action in the 11,000-horsepower Top Fuel and Funny Car categories all weekend long, as well as the debut of Pro Stock Motorcycle in Seattle.

 

Tony Schumacher (Top Fuel) and Robert Hight (Funny Car) both won the 2022 event, and this year’s race will be broadcast on both the FOX and Fox Sports 1 (FS1), including eliminations coverage starting at 1 p.m. PT on Sunday, July 23 on FOX.

 

NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series qualifying will feature one round at 4:00 p.m. PT on Friday, July 21 and the final two rounds of qualifying on Saturday, July 22 at 1:45 and 4:15 p.m. Final eliminations are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. PT on Sunday, July 23. Television coverage includes qualifying action on FS1 at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, and then eliminations on FOX at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday.
