Join us for a chamber concert featuring piano, vocal, and string music. Featuring “On Wenlock Edge” for tenor, piano, and string quartet by Vaughan Williams, Schumann’s “Dichterliebe,” and Beethoven’s String Quartet: Op 18, no. 2 in G Major, this concert is full of beautiful and descriptive music. Both the Vaughan Williams and Schumann tell the stories of young men and their life experiences, and the string quartet is considered one of Beethoven’s most classical – the opening is described as a quartet of bows and curtseys.
Tickets – $20 general, $10 students – are available in advance online at auburnsymphony.org or by phone at 253-887-7777, and will also be available at the door. The box office opens 60 minutes prior to the concert and the house opens 30 minutes prior.
